It's so nice to be back! Kids bounce into the art room ready to act on their creative ideas. This fall, we've had a few "have to do" assignments across the grades.
- Kindergarteners and 1st graders made melted crayon mono-prints.
- 2-4 graders are creating autumn leaf prints that they are working back into with colored pencils.
- 5th and 6th graders have a cardboard sculpture challenge. Working in a group, they need to create a sculpture that is as tall as the shortest person in their group without using traditional attachment materials like glue, staples or tape.
- and the 7th and 8th graders are working on large scale group paintings. The final layer of these artworks will use the stencils they have designed and cut out using digital technology and lots of bright spray paint.
